LifeCraft Privacy Policy

LifeCraft is a voice-based life-skills coaching app published by Seams AI ("we", "us", "our"). We designed it to keep your data on your phone. This page explains exactly what leaves your device, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it.

What we collect

• Sign in with Apple identifier. When you sign in, Apple gives the app a stable per-app user ID and (on first sign-in only) your name and email. We store this on your device in the iOS Keychain. We do not transmit it to any server we operate.
• Your age. Used on-device to pick which coach character you meet. Stored in a local SQLite database on your phone.
• Your conversations. Coaching transcripts are stored only on your phone in a local SQLite database. We do not have a copy.
• Personal Manual and Plan entries. Anything you write into the Manual or Plan tabs is stored on your phone in the same local database. We do not have a copy.
• Crash reports (optional). If you have not disabled diagnostics, the app may send anonymous crash reports via Sentry. Reports contain a stack trace and basic device info (model, OS version). They do not contain your conversations, Manual content, Plan entries, or audio.

What gets sent to third parties

To make the coach work, your audio and text are processed in real time by third-party AI providers. We route these requests through our own server (a secured Vercel function) so that API keys stay private; the server does not log or store the content of your messages.

• Deepgram — receives short audio clips of what you say in order to transcribe them. Audio is not retained by Deepgram beyond the request. Deepgram Privacy.
• Anthropic (Claude) — receives your transcribed text and recent conversation context so it can generate the coach's reply. Anthropic does not train on this data. Anthropic Privacy.
• ElevenLabs — receives the coach's reply text and returns spoken audio. ElevenLabs Privacy.
• Simli — receives the spoken audio and returns a lip-synced video stream of the coach. Simli Privacy.

What we don't do

• No advertising. No ad networks. No tracking SDKs.
• No analytics on what you say or what the coach says back.
• No selling, sharing, or cross-app linking of your data.
• No accounts on any backend we run — your identity lives only in Apple's Sign in with Apple system and on your device.

Permissions we ask for

• Microphone — to hear you when you tap to talk.
• Face ID / Touch ID — optional, to lock the app.
• Photo library — optional, only if you ask the coach to look at a photo.
• Camera — declared because a dependency (react-native-webrtc) requires the permission string. We do not open the camera or capture video from your device.

Deleting your data

Your data is on your phone. To delete it: open Settings → Delete My Data inside the app, or simply delete the app. Both wipe the local database and Keychain entries permanently.

You can also revoke Sign in with Apple from iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Sign in with Apple → LifeCraft → Stop using.

Children

LifeCraft is intended for adults age 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you believe a child under 21 has used the app, please contact us at the address below and we will help guide the deletion of any local data.

International users

The third-party AI providers above operate servers primarily in the United States. By using LifeCraft you consent to your audio and text being processed in the United States solely for the purpose of generating coach responses. None of these providers retains the content of your messages.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information. Because we do not store your data on our servers, the practical exercise of these rights is: delete the app or use Settings → Delete My Data. We will respond to written requests within 30 days.

Changes

If we change anything material, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
